Day 1 : Leh Arrival - Sham Valley (75 kms –...

Upon your arrival at Leh Airport, meet your representative and a private vehicle will transfer you to Sham Valley along the River Indus on Leh – Kargil Highway.

En route to Sham Valley, you will visit the Gurudwara Patthar Sahib nestled deep in the Himalayas. A drive of another 4 km will take you the Magnetic Hill which defies the law of gravity as it pulls stationary vehicles upwards. Later, drive through a picturesque landscape after which you will reach the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar River.

Check in at the camp or hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 2 : Sham Valley - Kargil via Batalik (1...

After breakfast, a private vehicle will transfer you to Kargil.

Enroute visit the Dha-Hanu which is located 163 km north west of Leh town. The village settlements of Dha and Hanu are placed on the meeting points of Indus and Shyok Rivers in the Kargil region. Framed as the ‘Land of Aryans’, these villages are home to Brokpa or Drokpa community of Ladakh.

After visiting Dha Hanu proceed towards Batalik which is one of the most famous war front zones fought by the Indian soldiers in 1999 with Pakistan.

Later, drive towards Kargil and check in at the hotel or camp.

Day 3 : Kargil - Leh (via Lamayuru)

Today, after breakfast drive back to Leh.

Enroute, visit the villages of Mulbekh and Lamayuru, which belongs to Dripung Kagyu (Red Hat). Then drive and cross the River Indus and reach Alchi, Ladakh's most loved monastery. Further, drive to Likir. Likir Gompa, a Buddhist monastery, is situated atop a windy cliff top overlooking the beautiful village of Likir.

Upon arrival in Leh, you will meet your representative and check in at the hotel.

Day 4 : Leh - Nubra Valley via Khardung La...

After breakfast, a private vehicle will transfer you to Nubra valley via Khardung La Pass

The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La which is the highest motorable road in the world at 5,602 Mtrs from Leh. From the pass, all the way south, you can see the Indus valley and seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range. Look north, and you will see the mountains peaks of the Saser massif.

Later, you will arrive in Nubra Valley which is popularly the valley of flowers. The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 ft. above sea level. Check in at the Camp or Hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure

Day 5 : Nubra Valley - Leh (120 kms / 4 – 5...

After an early breakfast, check out and drive to Hunder.

Hunder is a place in Leh where you get an opportunity to see sand dunes and ride on a bacterian camel (double humped). It is indeed a strange sight to see sand dunes and camels as immediately on the left of the road is the Rocky Mountains that characterize the Ladakhi landscape and in the distance can be seen snow-capped mountains.

While returning, visit Diskit which is the headquarter town of Nubra Valley. it is famous for 515 years old Buddhist Monastery, lying magnificently situated on a hilltop, facing the entire valley.

On arrival in Leh, check in at the hotel and enjoy rest of the day at leisure.

Day 6 : Leh

After an early breakfast, proceed for a full day excursion tour to Pangong Lake through Changla pass.

Your first stop will be at the Changla Pass where you can have a quick photography session. Next, drive down to the village of Tangtse, where you can relax for a cup of tea. Leaving Tangtse for Pangong, you will pass through few small villages of Changthang, after which, you can finally have a view of the Pangong Lake that is situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 kms wide and over 133 kms long with half of the lake running on the other side of the Indo-China border.

In the evening you can stroll around the Leh market place for some last minute souvenir shopping.

Day 7 : Leh

After breakfast, proceed for Indus Valley Monastery tour.

You will start the tour with a visit to the Thiksey Monastery which is an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village. Next, visit Shey Palace which is known as the ancient capital of Ladakh. You will then visit Druk Padma Karpo School, which is a location used in the famous Bollywood movie, 3 Idiots & Sindhu Ghat. You will then visit Sindhu Ghat which is a river bank near Shey Monastery. The barren mountains, rocky terrain, and river traversing the region is a sight to behold. You will then drive back to Leh and en route stop at Stok Palace. This palace has now been turned into a heritage hotel. Comprising of beautiful gardens as well as a library that houses 108 volumes of the Kangyur (collection of teachings of Lord Buddha), the palace is not to be missed.

Day 8 : Leh Departure

Today, a private vehicle will transfer you to Leh airport where you can catch your flight back home.
