Day 1 : Arusha - Lake Manyara Arrival

Arrive at Kilimanjaro airport and a private vehicle will transfer you to your camp in Lake Manyara. Check into the camp and later, enjoy an evening game drive in Lake Manyara National Park.

Hundreds of species of birds glide through the air above the National Park, making it the ideal stop for international birders looking to check the rare and exotic off their life list. Travelers in search of bigger beasts will find wild buffalo, zebra and other African mammals wandering the grounds of this concentrated safari wonderland. Its compact size and close proximity to the Rift Valley escarpment mean Lake Manyara National Park offers plenty of wildlife for time-crunched travelers.

Day 2 : Lake Manyara - Serengeti

After breakfast, depart to Serengeti National Park. Arrive at the camp in Serengeti National Park and Proceed for an afternoon game drive.

On a continent known for its wildlife and safaris, few national parks hold the same iconic status as the Serengeti, Tanzania’s oldest and most popular reserve. Home to all of Africa’s Big Five, this massive park spans some 12,000 square miles of savannah, open plains and rugged cliffs that some one million wildebeests, 200,000 zebra and 300,000 gazelle call home.

Day 3 : Serengeti

After breakfast, start your full day game drive at Serengeti National Park.

Witness the marvellous beauty of thousands of wildebeest and zebras feeding on the endless plains, crossing the Mara and Grumet rivers or giving birth around the Ndutu area. See lions, resting or attentively stalking their prey. Experience the big and small: a female elephant teaching her baby how to eat and dung beetles rolling a 10-kilogram pile of elephant dung.

Day 4 : Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area via Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Arrive in Ngorongoro Crater and check in at the camp. Rest of the evening is at leisure

Few places in Tanzania are as beautiful or diverse as the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Covering some 260 square kilometres, this sunken crater formed by a volcanic explosion is home to more than 25,000 animals. Black rhinos, thousands of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles graze on this fertile plain. The crater is also home to the densest population of lions in the world.

Day 5 : Ngorongoro Crater

Today descend 2000 feet to the floor of the crater.

Ngorongoro Crater is the World’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Due to its size and diversity, the crater floor comprises of several distinct areas, ranging from forest, swamps, lakes, and springs, to open grassland and some sandy dunes thus making it the perfect place to spot high concentrations of African wildlife. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food.

Return to the camp in the late afternoon. Later, drive to Karatu for dinner.

Day 6 : Ngorongoro Crater - Tarangire

After breakfast, depart Ngorongoro into Tarangire National Park. Arrive in Tarangire National Park and proceed for an afternoon game drive with Picnic lunch.

While smaller in size than Serengeti or Ngorongoro, Tarangire is still known for its impressive population of elephants and lions. Travelers to this protected area will certainly see zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and baboons, as well as some of the 550 species of indigenous birds that call Tarangire home. Because the park has only one major water source—the Tarangire River—it’s the perfect place for spotting all of Tanzania’s wildlife
