Day 1 : Cape Town Arrival

Arrive at Cape Town airport and a private vehicle will transfer you to your accommodation. Check-in at the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2 : Cape Town

Today explore Cape Town on a Half Day City Tour.

Discover Cape Town and explore the monuments in Adderley Street. Visit the Castle of Good Hope and the Bo-Kaap; experience the Noon Gun and take the Cable Car up to the top of Table Mountain.

Later, spend the afternoon at leisure. You can choose to spend some time at the V&A Waterfront which has a wide variety of shops, entertainment and restaurants on offer.

Day 3 : Cape Town

Today enjoy a full-day guided tour of the beautiful Cape Peninsula.

Discover the wild scenery, unique culture, and rugged coastline of the Cape Peninsula during this full-day sightseeing tour. Drive along the roads of this incredible peninsula, stopping to explore pristine beaches, charming coastal towns, and local wildlife. Observe a community of penguins on Boulders Beach, visit two oceans and journey to the edge of the African continent at the Cape of Good Hope. It’s a great opportunity to get a sense for the unique geography of this stunning area.

Day 4 : Cape Town - Franschhoek

Today, your rental vehicle will be dropped off at your hotel at Cape Town from where you will drive to your hotel in Franschhoek. Arrive in Franschhoek and check in at the accommodation and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Idyllically situated in the Cape Winelands, this peaceful country retreat is one of the oldest towns in South Africa. The once sleepy little village was named Franschhoek, meaning 'French Corner' as it was founded by French Huguenots. The fertile valley of Franschhoek boasts a rich heritage showcased at the fascinating Huguenot Memorial Museum and the Cape Dutch architecture in much of the village remains remarkably well preserved.

Day 5 : Franschhoek - Hermanus

Today, leave the winelands behind and travel over the mountain to the Whale Coast in Hermanus. Arrive in Hermanus and check in at the accommodation. Rest of the day is at leisure

Situated just 140 kilometres from Cape Town and built between the beautiful shores and cliffs of Walker Bay, Hermanus has grown from a small seaside resort town to become possibly the best-known place for whale watching in the world. This town is also famed for its natural scenic beauty, long stretches of pristine beaches and excellent variety of restaurants, cafes and bars.

If you happen to visit Hermanus during whale season (June-December), join a guided whale-watching boat tour to increase your chances of spotting the majestic mammals up close and learn about whales and their habitat from an onboard specialist. Alternatively, you can choose to join a shark-cage diving tour where you can look a great white shark in the eye from the security of a cage off the coast of South Africa.

Day 6 : Hermanus - Knysna

Today start your drive towards Scenic Garden route to reach Knysna. Arrive in Knysna and check in at the accommodation. Later in the late afternoon enjoy a relaxing sunset cruise on the John Benn

Sit back and relax, enjoy the feeling of African sun on your face, the wind in your hair, while viewing Knysna from a unique vantage. Cruise to the famous Knysna Heads and pass through the Featherbed Bay which offers calm turquoise waters. Watch the sunset and devour food in the floating restaurant, The John Benn. You will be offered a wide dining selection from the a la carte menu. The boat has a bar on each of the upper and lower decks and is fully enclosed.

Day 7 : Knysna

Today, drive to the small town of Oudtshoorn where you can enjoy guided tour of the Cango Caves.

The dark tunnels and shadowy chambers of this popular tourist cave wind through nearly 4 km of dimly lit underground passages. Walk through the easy-going portions of the caves, where sharply pointed stalactites and stalagmites aglow from spotlights which make for impressive photos.

Next, visit the Safari Ostrich Farm.

This is the first ostrich farm in Oudtshoorn and South Africa where the Kenyan Red and Zimbabwe Blue Ostriches can be seen. You will also get to see White Ostriches and the second biggest bird in the world, namely the Emu from Australia.  

Finally, visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch.

The Cango Wildlife Ranch promotes awareness and conservation of endangered species, while encouraging supervised interaction. Housing the oldest and largest cheetah contact centre worldwide, you can view these powerful, speedy cats in a natural bushveld environment from elevated walkways.

Day 8 : Knysna – Eastern Cape

Today depart from Knysna and drive towards Port Elizabeth airport. Drop your rental car and join the transfer service to Kwantu Private Game Reserve for your safari experience. Arrive in Kwantu and check in at the accommodation.

Kwantu Private Game Reserve is home to the big five game animals, including the African lion, African elephant, Cape buffalo, African leopard, and White/Black rhinoceros. With more than 250 bird species having been recorded in the area, Kwantu Private Game Reserve is also a bird watcher’s paradise with a great diversity of birds within forest, riverine, gorge and savannah habitats.

Later, enjoy an afternoon game drive.

Day 9 : Eastern Cape

Today enjoy Full Day Game Drive at Kwantu Private Game Reserve

From the comforts of specially equipped open Land Rovers, you can encounter the impressive Big 5 roaming freely on the Sidbury plains. You’ll be awestruck by our zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, and many of the common and rare antelope who have roamed these plains for centuries.
