Day 2 : Nairobi – Samburu

Start your day early today as you drive towards Samburu.

Pass near Thika and continue north through some breathtaking scenery dotted with rushing mountain streams and fields of tea and coffee.

After passing Nanyuki town, continue north, eventually reaching a dusty outpost known as Isiolo, the last major stop on the journey into the remote northern frontier district. From here, it's a fairly short drive to Samburu.

Arrive in Samburu and check in at the accommodation. Later, depart for an afternoon game drive and return to the lodge as the sun sets.

Day 4 : Samburu - Aberdares

After breakfast, drive south into the forests of the Aberdare Mountain Range arriving at Outspan for lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to Treetops, your accommodation for the night.

Treetops is Kenya’s original tree lodge, legendary for its historical royal connection, for the animals it attracts and for the sheer joy of exploring a tree house visited by rhino, elephant, buffalo, lion, bushbuck, waterbuck and many other species. The lodge rises dramatically out of the ground on stilts and overlooks a water hole and salt lick. This water hole attracts all sorts of wildlife during the day and night.

After breakfast, embark on a journey to Lake Nakuru National Park, one of the finest national parks of Kenya. Start your journey north‑west heading towards Nyahururu followed by driving in a southerly direction to your next destination, the spectacular Lake Nakuru.

Arrive in Lake Nakuru and check in at the accommodation. Later, proceed for an afternoon game drive.

Made up of the lake itself and the rocky caves and bushy grassland that surrounds it, Lake Nakuru National Park especially draws visitors looking to see pink flamingos, as there may be as many as 2 million lesser and great flamingos seen around the edges of the lake at a given time. The park is also home to many water-loving animals such as hippos and waterbucks. It is also a national rhino sanctuary and is the best place in Kenya to see protected black and white rhinos.
